Puppies!
(I call grown dogs puppies too) Anyway! Puppies are so good for your mental health. In college around finals, the school would bring puppies to the school library for students to play with to help with their stress and anxiety about finals. Having your own pup to cuddle with when your anxiety is extra high can help you relax and unwind a bit.
Writing
This can be in a journal, diary, on your laptop, whatever. Writing about your day can really help you let go of things and move on from whatever happened that day that caused you anxiety.
Figure out where you are most at peace
For example, after a long stressful day at work, I feel the least amount of anxiety when I can get home, change, and lounge on the couch watching my favorite tv shows. So I make it a point to do this every day for at least an hour. Do you feel the most at peace when you are reading? Playing video games? Online shopping? Surfing the web? Cleaning? DO IT!
Working these things into your daily and weekly routine will help manage your anxiety. While it is hard to completely get rid of your anxiety, it is possible to manage it. Make your life a bit easier and manage your anxiety the best way you can.
